# Isabel of Aragon survives to become queen of Spain after her parents and becomes a successful crusader queen in her own right having conquered Africa and Tunis from the Moors and also having fought the Ottomans on land and sea. Despite her glorious reign, the death of her son Miguel in 1500, left a dark stain of fear in the minds of the nobility and monarchy when the doctors informed that the Isabel might never be able to conceive. Throughout her marriage Isabel would try to convince her husband to annual the marriage as his dynasty was in the fear of extintion and that he needed healthy male heirs. Manuel would, ofcourse, have none of it. In late 1516, when both King and Queen were in their late 40s, in a banquet celebrating the kingdom's conquest of the new world, Isabel and Manuel, both drunk to the core, took to bed together. A few months later, to the shock (and joy) of the court, Isabel II of Castile would announce her pregnancy and later give birth to her and Manuel's only children- A son named Jośe as a form of gratitude towards the saint from the Monarchs and a daughter named Isabel, as choose by Manuel and customer in her matriarchal line.
